Anton Ferdinand has praised Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli

Former QPR defender Anton Ferdinand has praised Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli as one of the most promising in English football right now.

The progress made by the youngster has been spectacular. It was only recently that he played for Championship outfit MK Dons. Now, though, he has grown into one of the finest midfielders in the Premier league. The rate of transformation has been amazing, but Ferdinand reckons that one of the attributes that makes Alli successful is his ability to read the game. Even thoughAlli may look like running around a lot, Ferdinand believes that Alli is reading the game with incredible precision.

Such has been the progress made by the Tottenham midfielder that he has now been spoken of as the main threat in the England national team, which is an amazing aspect considering that he is only 20 years old. Ferdinand was also one of the promising youngsters when he was coming through the ranks at West Ham. However, his career has not progressed in similar fashion and he last represented Reading in the Championship. After having just been crowned as the PFA Young Player of the Year, Dele Alli will be looking to continue the progress with some impressive performances at the Euro 2016.

Ferdinand is currently without a club after leaving Reading following the expiry of his contract. He is searching for a new club at 31 years of age after having represented the likes of Sunderland, QPR, West Ham, and lesser known clubs like Police United.”He’s got no fear factor and he looks like he understands the game. He doesn’t run around like a headless chicken. He actually understands the game which, for someone of his age, can only bode well and I think he’s got a bright, bright future,” said Ferdinand.
